Relationship Goals: How to Win at Dating, Marriage, and Sex by Michael Todd

Summary

You scroll through photo after photo of happy couples and think, I want a relationship like that! The thing is, those intimate relationships are a mirage-the closer you get to them, the more you realize they aren't real at all. So what does a real relationship like? And how do you get there?

In Relationship Goals, Pastor Michael Todd digs deep to give you good news and real-life ideas for making the most of your most important relationships.

Take a look at:

  • what it means to choose intentional dating over recreational dating;

  • how to move on from mistakes you've made in the past;

  • who love gets stronger after marriage;

  • what the Bible has to say about sex (hot take: it's more sizzling than you think);

  • why the best friendships have God at the center.

Whether you are married, single, or it's complicated, aiming for the right targets will make all the difference in finding true satisfaction. As it turns out, God's got the best relationship goals of all for your life. Why settle for less?

The truth is, having a goal without aim is senseless, but having a goal without God is pointless. Many of us don't have our aim directed when it comes to relationships. We take whatever comes. We do whatever's comfortable. But we don't really know where we're going or why.

Review

In Relationship Goals: How to Win at Dating, Marriage, and Sex, Pastor Michael Todd discuss how to get the most out of your relationships both romantic relationships and non-romantic relationships. The fact of the matter is, we are meant to be in relationships. Friendships. Mentorships. Romantic relationships. As Michael Todd discusses, we have to make sure we are prepared to enter into a relationship and that we are intentionally dating versus recreationally dating. Relationship Goals definitely gave me ideas and information to digest and think about. I highly recommend this book if you feel like you're in a rut when it comes to dating or if you've had a string of unfulfilling relationships.

If you have a book you think I should read, head on over to the recommendations tab and tell me about it!
